I went as Tracy from Hairspray. Had to explain it to a couple people, but Kris got it.
The dress. Isn't my mother wonderful for making this for me? I love my mum.

She did my hair too. A TON of hairspray and about a million hairpins went into holding this hairdo together. My hair felt like wire.

The hosties as the guys from Mythbusters. Kris said this is the third Halloween in a row she's been a guy, and she wants to be a girl next year, dammit!

This is a really bad photo of Jane as Felicity Shagwell. Her boyfriend (I think?) was Austin Powers, and the kid behind her (the bf's son?) was Dr Evil. Austin's in the kitchen there, you can only see his red velvet shoulder.

I'm in ur party eatin ur snacks - this girl whose name I've forgotten came as an icanhascheezburger cat! How brilliant is that? She even had a squeaky toy cheeseburger. Here she is doing "Invisible corn on the cob"

A viking, whose name I have also forgotten

There were other people in costume but I didn't get photos of them.

There was a TON of brilliantly disgusting food, like peanut-butter-filled white chocolate eyeballs. entrail stew, witch finger shortbreads, tapeworm salad and so on and so forth. There were also bottles of Goat's Blood (Ribena) and Cat's Wii (yes, after the Nintendo) which was home-made lemonade. The piece de resistance - a pannacotta that looked like a brain, covered in raspberry coulis blood.
I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti...
In this photo is also the chocolate pumpkin brownies (bottom right corner, very delicious), the ever-classy cocktail onion and cabanossi sticks (bottom left), eyeball deviled eggs (top left) and peanut-butter-chocolate eyeballs (top right).

More chocolate eyeballs, and Halloween fairy bread. Oh how I adore fairy bread.

Brains! Braaaaaaaiiiiinnnnnnns! Isn't that just the most disgusting thing ever?
Also in the background are candy corn cookies (delicious) and Halloween Peeps.

They turned on the Wii after we'd all eaten a lot, and we took turns playing the games. Kris and I had a boxing match - she said "Hey, I'll be Amber, and you're Tracy of course and whoever wins this match gets Link." I KO'd her on round two. Hurrah! And I'd never even played before. She was very graceful in letting me have Link. I even got to use a Hairspray quote "Amber, much to your surprise, this heavyweight champion takes the prize." Man, that boxing game is a good workout.
I sucked at the other games though.

Re: From Kris
I'm very sore from that, too. Work wasn't fun yesterday with the aching muscles, and won't be fun again today.October 28 2007, 21:40:57 UTC 4 years ago
Looks like everyone had a fabulous time.
